honest?
Most apps today are built around your attention and your data as the product. They need you to register so they can track you. They push data to the cloud so they can analyse it. They add features you didn’t ask for so they can justify a subscription.
I think that’s backwards. An app should serve you — completely, quietly, and without asking anything in return beyond a fair one-time price. No recurring fees. No privacy policy that takes twenty minutes to read.
Honest means the app does exactly what it says, handles your data with respect, and gets out of your way. That’s the only promise I make — and the only one I need to.
